Prepare your Hair for Winter!

Jack Frost is striking us with his presence, which means time to change your regimen.  We recommend that if you care for your hair and the shape it is in you should make sure you take the following precautionary steps.  Kerri’s rule of thumb is if you start to have to increase your moisturizers for your hands and face it is also time to increase the moisture property in your shampoo and conditioner(s).  Talk to your stylist the next time you are in about a good regimen for you to use to lock in the moisture in your hair and to keep its shine.  Salon Reform likes to use Montovani’s Extra-Rich Conditioner and Shampoo Extra Bellisima, it is a custom designed hair line with all natural ingredients.

Here are a few more tricks to help prepare you for this winter season:

  • Use shampoos that don’t contain harsh chemicals.
  • Serums are great, but be careful not to use too much, as they can weigh hair down.
  • Lightly spritz a bit of hairspray to tame any unwanted frizz.
  • Moisturize, moisturize, moisturize.

  • Rinse your hair with cold water to help lock in your moisture and make hair shiny.
  • Use leave-in moisturizers or conditioners.
